Coming soon to the App StorePrivacy policy
Lepus Pixel · Last updated 21 October 2026
Lepus Pixel is an iPhone app made by Vladyslav Zaiets. This policy explains what happens with your data when you use it. The short version: the app does not collect personal data and sends nothing to us.
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Everything you do in the app stays on your iPhone.
- Nothing is sent to us.
- Photos and videos are processed on your iPhone and never uploaded.
- Photo library access is asked for only by the features that need it.
What the app collects
Nothing. Lepus Pixel has no account or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It does not connect to any server of ours. The following is stored only on your iPhone: your recipes, settings and the Lepus Profile (space saved and badges). It is deleted together with the app. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, Apple includes this data in the backup, as with any app.
Your photos and videos
You choose photos and videos with the system photo picker, the Files app or the share sheet; the app sees only what you pick. Every tool (resize, convert, compress, metadata, scanner, video tools, background and object removal, old photo enhancement, subtitles) runs on your iPhone. Files are never uploaded. Results are saved only where you choose: to your photo library, to Files or to another app through the share sheet.
Photo library access
Two features read your photo library: Free Up Space (finds duplicate photos and the largest videos) and Compress Latest Photo (the widget, the Control Center control and the Shortcuts action). iOS asks for permission the first time you start one of them. The library is analysed on the device; nothing is deleted unless you confirm it in the app, and iOS asks you again before deleting. Saving a result asks only for permission to add photos, which does not let the app read your library. You can change access anytime in iPhone Settings > Apps > Lepus Pixel > Photos.
Camera
The document scanner uses the camera to capture pages. The pages stay on your iPhone.
Speech recognition
Video subtitles recognise speech in your video with Apple's speech recognition running on your iPhone; audio is not sent anywhere. The first time, iOS may download the speech model for a language from Apple.
On-device AI
Object removal, background removal and old photo enhancement use Apple Vision and machine learning models built into the app (MI-GAN, Real-ESRGAN), running on your iPhone. Alt text, name ideas and recipe summaries use Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) on devices that support it, also on the device.
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, your Lepus Profile (how much space you saved and your badges) syncs through your own iCloud key-value storage with other Lepus apps. It contains no photos, videos or file names. We cannot access your iCloud.
Permissions
The app asks only for what a feature needs, when you first use it: Photos (Free Up Space, Compress Latest Photo), adding photos (saving results), Camera (scanner) and Speech Recognition (subtitles). It never asks for location, contacts, microphone, health data or permission to track you across apps.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you turned on "Share With App Developers" in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous crash and usage statistics for this app with us through App Store Connect. You control this setting; the data does not identify you.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete; deleting the app removes everything it stored. If you write to us by email, we use your address and message only to answer you and delete the conversation on request. You may also contact a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
If this ever changes, the updated policy will be published on this page before the app update that brings the change.
